Almost 10 years ago, long time friends Shiv’on and Anneka shared a wish to inspire teenage girls to follow their dreams and help build confidence. As a result of that vision, Show Me Shoes Foundation launched in 2009. Show Me Shoes Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in Kansas City, MO. They have created a crusade for confidence through self-love, mentors and sisterhood. The organization has served over 3,000 young girls and women in chapters in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, and the founders hometown of Kansas City. The 10 day event, concluding with dinner service on Sunday, January 22nd, marks its eighth consecutive year in Kansas City. The Future Stages Festival is an annual community celebration of young performing artists in Kansas City. This spotlight on youth performances and family friendly programming supports the growth of future artists with a focus on engaging youth performers. All ages can experience the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts as artists and patrons through the Future Stages Festival. The free event included a diverse array of performances along with interactive arts activities.
