I’m just going to come right out and say it. I do not like Fritz’s Railroad Restaurant! The thought of eating there makes my face frown up. It wasn’t always like this though. I’ve experienced Fritz’s positively on several occasions over the years. But now even the sight of that train in front causes dread. Almost like the irrational fear some people of clowns. Last weekend the Westin Crown Center was transformed into a knee-slapping, song-belting, square-dancing, guitar-strumming music festival. To be exact, Folk Alliance International presented the annual Kansas City Folk Festival. If you happened to be there you got a giant serving of folk music from Kansas City and around the world. Adult coloring books are super trendy right now. These coloring pages are filled with extremely intricate designs toted as a way to de-stress. Just grab one, some colored pencils, a glass of wine, and you’re set for a relaxing evening. Right? Wrong! Adult coloring books don’t work. At least not for me.
