Velvet Creme Popcorn web vcp banner logo 2015 Outlines
4710 Belinder Road
Westwood, KS 66205

Velvet Creme Popcorn, the original popcorn in a can is now enjoyed by people all over the world. It was during the backdrop of the late-depression that Velvet Creme Popcorn was started in Kansas City. Grandparents, Howard “Pop” White and Dona “Grammie” White started the family business out of the need to support themselves and their 3 children. In 1954, Velvet Creme Popcorn was the first company to offer gourmet popcorn in a decorated can. These early tins were hand painted with original designs, pioneering what we know today as “Decorated Can Designs”.

I would also like to acknowledge Crown Center’s Customer Service. Thanks to those lovely employees, the Kansas City Sweets & Treats giveaway was packaged and sent with ease!
